Property.CoZa Lowveld had a magnificent turnout at the Skukuza marathon. We manned the no 1 water point near the Panic hide. The kind game rangers kept the crocks and hippos at bay and the team supported hundreds of runners.
Ons gees was fantasties. Mooi julle en baie geluk aan Cicke wat die sake laat vlot het. Vroegoggend by die Krugerhek was egter ‘n nagmerrie, maar nouja, dit is die gewone ding met wildtuin personeel.
Kruger staff just struggle to plan. Its really so frustrating. Hundreds of cars were held up at the gate with runners getting nervous of not being on time. Don’t these officials think that on a day like this they must cater for more staff!? Later, we went to watch the Lions rugby game at the Skukuza golf club. No use buying a drink – there’s one barman serving 200 people. Breakfast? You must be joking! “The kietchen eye is not sooo good, we only heve two pepol”.
Iedergeval, ons waterpunt het gewerk want Cicke weet hoe. Dankie Cicke en Jannie en almal, veral die puik agente wat kook! Thanks also to all the hubbies and wifies that took part. Dankie aan Wynand en Ilse wat al die toerusting terug vervoer het kantoor toe. Congrats to our runners : Morne, Sanet, Jacques, Idette, Cicke and the whole team – you all painted Kruger red!
